Just Run Training
Have your running shoes been sitting in the closet wishing to be useful?
Do you want to be more active but need a jump start? Would you like to
support the Just Run for a Just Cause 5K or 10K on September 17th, but
are not sure you can complete it? Join our Just Training program
designed to prepare the beginner runner/walker to complete the 5K or the
10K.
About the Schedule
Beginner Walk/Run Program
This program will take the beginner to the 5K level. It begins with 7
intervals of running for 1 minute and walking for 2 minutes and it ends
with running 10 minutes and walking one minute. It is 10 weeks long with
an additional one week taper before the Just Run.
Continuous Runner Program
This program will take an individual who can at least run for 15 minutes
continuously to 5K level, improve their 5K time, or prepare them for
the 10K level. There are also additional miles for the more advanced
runner.The training begins with a 2 mile run, ends with a 6 mile run,
and includes some speed work throughout the program. This program is 10
weeks long, with an additional week of taper before the Just Run.
Both training programs follow a 4-day a week run schedule.
Group Runs
The Just Training Program will offer two Group Run times during the
week, with suggestions for other community group runs. At these runs,
our coaches will lead a short devotion or teaching on justice issues,
followed by prayer, and at other times will lead short basic run
seminars, covering topics such as hydration and stretching.

Both runs will be held at Crosspoint Church
Programs begin July 5th
The cost is $15 per person. A T-shirt will be provided.
