Just Run for a Just Cause
The 2011 race results are in at Run Houston Timing.

5K, 10K and 1 Mile Family Walk
Twenty-seven
million people in the world today live as slaves. Millions of these are
children who are forced to work in unsafe environments and as sex
slaves in filthy brothels around the world. The people of Kingsland are
committed to and engaged in fighting for the rights of the oppressed --
from our own community to the red light districts
of South Asia. We support local initiatives that reach out to women in
prostitution and also support aftercare homes in South Asia that care
for young girls rescued from brothels. Your participation in our Just
Run will help to support this just cause. We are grateful for your
interest, concern, and participation. Thank you for helping us speak on
behalf of those who have no voice and to work toward the day when all
captives will be set free.

trapped in Kolkata's sex trade. The first 1200 participants will receive
this specially designed Freeset tee. Extra tees will be available for
purchase on race day. It is highly suggested to order one size larger
than needed. These signature tees bear the names of the women who made
them!

Special Guest | Mariam Kagaso
Our
racers will head out after hearing a compelling testimony by former
slave, Mariam Kagaso. Originally from Africa, Mariam was brought into
the United States under false pretenses where she was forced to work in a
home. Although having been brought up a devout Muslim, she miraculously
found truth in Jesus Christ and by her faith was able to escape the
bondage of human trafficking. Today, she continues to share her
testimony as a way to, not only bring awareness to the new human rights
movement that is taking place all over the world, but also bring to
light the truth of Jesus Christ.
